Ahead of the UTECH Europe 2018 polyurethanes conference and exhibition taking place 29-31 May 2018 at the MECC, Maastricht, The Netherlands, UTECH Europe and its parent company, Crain Communications, has launched a fund-raising partnership with Water.org. The charity is committed to bringing access to safe water to 844 million people and access to a toilet to 2.3 billion people.
The UTECH Europe team has kick-started the campaign by donating $1,000 to the worthy cause and is inviting all the event’s exhibitors, partners, exhibition attendees, and conference delegates to contribute also. The total amount saved by the entire UTECH Europe community will be announced at the event in Maastricht.
About 844 million people, or around 1 in 9 of the World’s population, lack access to safe water; 2.3 billion, or about 1 in 3, lack access to a toilet. Water.org is dedicated to changing this. UTECH community donations will be used to empower families around the world with access to small, affordable loans to make household water and sanitation solutions a reality. As well as making donations, individuals and organisations are urged to spread the message via social media using the hashtag #UTECHWater .
